As a certified pet loss grief counselor, I will help you through your difficult bereaevement and grieving process.

Because of my own expierences with losing members of my animal family, I am able to empathize with the pain and sadness that you are now facing, as I too have suffered that unbearable pain.

Through my extensive counselor training, I am prepared in assisting you to move through those stages of grieving, and do my best to bring you some comfort and understanding.

For me, the worst part of losing my animal companions was hearing things like "well don't you have two other dogs, that should cheer you up." Or "she was only a cat." And finally "why don't you just go adopt another puppy, that will make you feel better."  Statements like these cut like a knife. Although your friends, family and co-workers may be trying to cheer you up, and the comments may be well-intentioned, they fail to realize comments like these are hurtful and offensive. No matter what size or shape, furry, fluffy or scaly... our love for our animals is as genuine as with our human companions, maybe even more so. Your feelings of love and loss and valid and real, and should be respected as such.

Although there is never any "closure" when you lose your best friend, I will help you to find ways to survive the agony of your loss.
